Our Story … Our Team
The Asbury Park Vibes Magazine and Podcast spotlight artists through stories, photography, interviews, and press coverage. At its core, the goal is simple: to shine a light on incredible music and the creatives behind it.
Based in the heart of Asbury Park, our studio hosts live podcasts, artist showcases, and gallery events that bring the community together in celebration of the arts. Our mission is to celebrate the spirit and passion of local music scenes — and share those vibes with audiences everywhere.
As our platform grew, it naturally led to the creation of APV Entertainment — an artist-focused division that provides services such as artist development, photography, and creative content to help musicians grow their careers.
None of this would be possible without the talented photographers and podcasters who help bring our coverage and stories to life. Meet the outstanding team behind Asbury Park Vibes’ articles and photos.

DOUG DRESHER
Editor / Content Creator / Photographer / Podcaster / Assistant to the Regional Manager
Born from an existential argument between Modernists and Postmodernists, I have found my home with the post-punks and those who love a good slice of pizza. I live in a world of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction and the ever-elusive Decisive Moment. Punctum and Studium aside, I like to take photographs of people and things to see how they look photographed. While I miss both CBGBs and a cool place to bowl in Asbury Park, Punk is still whatever we made it to be. The Future is Unwritten, and I owe it all to Mr. Bradley and Mr. Martin. Let Us Now Praise Famous Men (and Women) and ask the Little Prince for his thoughts. Sometimes, I'm On the Road, but if it weren’t for the honor of the thing, I’d just as well walk. My loving wife supports this albatross of an obsession, and my kids put up with me well.
BA, MFA, M.Ed., BCEA, Nikon, FUJI, Tri-X.

JOHN MATLOSZ
Photojournalist
I grew up in the electric music scene of Asbury Park, NJ, drumming since the age of 5. As a performer, I am passionate about capturing the thrilling moments artists experience on stage. My interest in concert photography has immensely grown from building relationships with local bands and venues along the Jersey Shore. In 2023, I graduated from New York University with a degree in Music Business and am now a full-time professional in the music publishing industry. I'm proud to share my passion as a contributor to Asbury Park Vibes! There’s no other place like Asbury Park.
