BANKS Brings Off With Her Head Tour to Captivating Brooklyn Paramount Show

Alternative pop artist BANKS has had an eventful year and a half with the 10 year anniversary tour of her debut record Goddess, and that momentum has maintained as she’s currently embarked on tour to support her latest record Off With Her Head. As a performer, her tours have evolved throughout the years but this latest one is an exhilarating showcase of her showmanship while also sounding as commanding of her craft as ever. With five records to date, there’s ample consideration for songs to be included and thankfully the setlist serves not just as an effective representation of her latest record, but also of her entire discography. Recent highlights such as “Love Is Unkind”, “Move” and “River” resonated especially well live and fit seamlessly alongside other staples in her catalog such as “Gemini Feed” and “Contaminated”. Credit also to the versatility present here as BANKS managed to deliver moments of theatrical artistry alongside more intimate moments when performing tracks such as “Stay” and “Someone New” at the piano solo.

This balance allowed for a truly dynamic experience and throughout the night, and BANKS appeared truly confident on stage. Her vocals and presence felt vibrant and engaging, especially during her performances of recent tracks “Meddle in The Mold” and “Make It Up”. While it admittedly wasn’t a particularly long set, that didn’t hinder BANKS from giving it her all. The performance registered as passionate and genuinely exciting from start to finish! When you’ve been an artist for quite some time, finding new ways to engage your audience and evolve your craft can sometimes be a challenge. Thankfully in this case, The Off With Her Head Tour is another satisfying achievement and an throughly engaging showcase of her artistry.
