Smallpools and Grayscale Bring Waves of Electricity to The Stone Pony

Smallpools and Grayscale have joined forces to co-headline for their 23-date  “The Night Shift” tour, bringing their compelling talents to Asbury Park’s The Stone Pony along the way.

Indie rock band Smallpools gave it their all performing some of their best work including “Night Shift”, “Killer Whales”, “Million Bucks”, and “Dreaming”, which catapulted their careers to new heights in 2013. They also covered Fleetwood Mac’s hit song “Everywhere”, with supporting act Fia James.

During their song “Killer Whale”, an inflatable killer whale is launched into the crowd amplifying the already electric atmosphere. Smallpools lead singer, and New Jersey native, Sean Scanlon’s interactive energy immerses the crowd, literally and figuratively, into their works by climbing over the barricade and into the loving arms of concertgoers who are more than happy to sing along with Sean providing an intimate experience.

Smallpools also consists of Mike Kamerman, another New Jersey native, on guitar and California native Beau Kuther on drums.

Grayscale gained notoriety in their home city of Philadelphia’s pop punk scene in 2011 and such roots can be seen from the minute they step on stage as fans almost immediately began crowd surfing, a rare sight and treat for The Stone Pony. The band instantaneously brought an indescribable, infectious energy as they performed their hit songs “Forever Yours”, “In Violet”, “Fever Dream”, and ended the night with “Not Afraid To Die”, their most recent release.

Lead vocalist Collin Walsh, wears his heart on his sleeve, along with the rest of the band consisting of lead guitarist Andrew Kyne, rhythm guitarist Dallas Molster and drummer Nick Veno as they deliver a passionate performance that reminds the audience member they are not alone in their experiences and the intensity of their feelings.

The nights supporting acts were Fia James and The Romance
