Janelle Monáe Delivers a True Showstopper at NJPAC

There are performers, and then there are true entertainers. Janelle Monáe proved exactly why she’s in a league of her own during her North to Shore Festival performance at NJPAC.

From the moment she stepped on stage, the energy never dipped. Blending funk, R&B, soul, pop, and rock influences, every song felt like its own production. The choreography, wardrobe changes, live band, and theatrical visuals all came together to create an experience that was much bigger than just a concert.

The crowd matched that energy every step of the way, singing along, dancing, and cheering throughout the night. Whether it was longtime fans or first time listeners, everyone in the building was locked in from start to finish.

Janelle Monáe didn’t just perform. She created a moment. North To Shore couldn’t have asked for a stronger way to kick off the festival, and it was a night everyone in attendance will remember for a long time!
