Sublime Rocks Freehold: Jakob Nowell Leads a New Era at ParkStage

The legacy of Sublime has always been bigger than music. For generations of fans, the band’s unique blend of reggae, punk, ska, and hip-hop became the soundtrack to summers, road trips, and unforgettable memories. Nearly three decades after the passing of frontman Bradley Nowell, the band has found new life through his son, Jakob Nowell—and nowhere was that more evident than at Sublime’s electrifying performance at ParkStage in Freehold, New Jersey.

The June 19 show marked a major moment for both the band and the venue. As one of the first headline concerts at the brand-new ParkStage outdoor venue in Freehold, Sublime helped christen the stage with a performance that perfectly balanced nostalgia and a fresh sense of energy. The concert was part of New Jersey’s North To Shore Festival and drew fans eager to witness the next chapter of a legendary band. For more ticketed and free events, visit https://northtoshore.com/.
