Teddy Swims Brings His I've Tried Everything But Therapy Tour to Philadelphia

The atmosphere at Teddy Swims’ concert at the TD Pavilion at The Mann transcended all of my expectations. A warm, breezy spring day welcomed the masses to this gorgeous amphitheater on May 18th, 2025. It quickly became obvious that this show was going to be a little different than most shows I frequent. The range of audience members brought such an added element of joy to the evening. Kids were experiencing their first concerts next to couples who had been together for decades. Teddy Swims is for everyone and he made sure to connect the audience with his talent, one song at a time.

Before each song, Teddy gave us the opportunity to dive deeper into the songs he was performing. He announced the title of the upcoming track and gave a backstory as to where its origins came from. It was really beautiful getting to hear where all of these soulful songs came from. Teddy detailed many personal moments of struggle and was extremely open about his journey with therapy. So many artists will shy away from talking during their show, but Teddy’s personal connection with the audience is what made this concert feel different from others.

Teddy’s vocals cascaded over the theater and they were amplified by the three back-up vocalists and massive band that accompanied him on stage. This group of talented individuals choose a different cover to perform each night. It was the first time I had ever seen a live band use a jukebox randomizer to pick the cover performed each night. Audience members pick a letter and number and whatever the combo corresponded to, is the song they would cover. The band found out with the audience what song tonight was going to be and we lucked out when “You’re Still The One” by Shania Twain was chosen.

As the show came to a close, I sat feeling nostalgic for the night I had just experienced. The talent, entertainment and the heart that poured out from onstage will stay with me for a lifetime.

Teddy’s latest album I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Complete Edition) drops June 27.
