The Band Camino Brings The Never Always Tour to Electrifying Sold Out Brooklyn Paramount Show
Alt-rock band The Band Camino have built a consistently strong body of work throughout their years and their latest record Never Always has proven to be another captivating project that’s engaged their dedicated fanbase. They are currently on The Never Always Tour and made a stop to the Brooklyn Paramount for an electrifying sold out show! The band is known for its energetic live shows, and this latest tour is no exception. Vocalist Jeffery Jordan’s stage presence was consistently engaging and co-vocalist Spencer Stewart’s commanding vocals and musicianship was also exhilarating to witness.
By this point, The Band Camino have released a solid number of EP’s and full-lengths and their setlist on this tour strikes the perfect balance between newer material and established fan favorites with some deep cuts thrown in as well. Recent highlights such as “Infinity”, “Stupid Questions”, and “What You Can’t Have” connected well and it was a treat to hear staples such as “Hush Hush”, “Daphne Blue”, and “2/14” live. The band dug further into their catalog with the inclusion of deep cuts such as “Berenstein”, “Heaven”, and “Know Me”, and midway through the set stripped down to an acoustic set that showcased their genuine musical chops to impressive effect.
Also shout out to the opener Almost Monday who managed to deliver an especially high-energy and exciting performance! Their blend of surf rock and indie-pop made for a well balanced set and frontman Dawson Daugherty’s stage presence was utterly electric and his energy was absolutely boundless. Despite being an opener, they more than managed to make their set count and the band’s on stage chemistry and musicianship was vibrant and passionate, and Daugherty seamlessly was able to interact with fans creating an instant connection. It can be a daunting task for an opening band to leave an impression in a short amount of time, but Almost Monday more than rose to the challenge. Their set left a notable impact…this is an act that’s definitely worth keeping an eye out for in the future!
When you’ve been a band for a period of time, upholding a fanbase and evolving is key to maintaining success. For The Band Camino, they’ve managed to do so and The Never Always Tour is a satisfying showcase of their growth as artists while also nodding to their previous eras effectively. Whether you’re a long time fan or a newer one, this tour comes highly recommended!
