Trousdale Shines in Philadelphia
From a college dorm room to bright stages across the country, Trousdale is on their latest trek to move audiences with their glitz, glam, and immense talent. The first stop of their Growing Pains tour was at The Foundry in Philadelphia. These three best friends wowed the audience with their tight harmonies, energetic performances and sparkly outfits. It was a dream to experience the first show of many as this tour will take them across the world through September.
Opening the show were three solo artists who collaborated with one another on their individual tunes: Beane, Nia Ashleigh, and Buffchick. It was the first time I had seen this opener formula and I fell in love. It was a treat getting to bop back and forth between different artists and watch as they took turns commanding the stage on their own tunes and providing back up on each other’s. I hope this type of opening set starts coming around more in future tours. It was such a fun way to start off the night.
The first thing to stick out at this show was the amount of sparkles, sequins and shine that could be seen reflecting through the audience. Trousale made a point to share on their Instagram what sort of aesthetic they would be going for each night of tour. Each theme reflected the outfits the girls would be wearing on stage. It all started with disco. Trousale walked on stage in their bold green, pink and blue and showed off their complimentary outfits that anyone would be lucky to show off. But quickly, as the show began, the visuals took a back seat to the magnificent sound and power of their live performance.
These young women produce and write all of their own music. Quinn, Georgia & Lauren bare their souls on stage and it is obvious that their hearts are in every note of every song. Each song mirrored exactly what was released on their latest album Growing Pains and it was an incredibly vibrant performance to experience. Do not miss your opportunity to see this exceptionally talented band! Per Georgia this was “the most challenging vocal set in the history of the band” and by the way they slayed, no one would have ever had a clue.
