GEORGE CLINTON & LIVING COLOUR TO BRING COSMIC FUNK TO ASBURY PARK’S STONE PONY

George Clinton

This summer, the funk is landing in Asbury Park—and it's coming straight from the Mothership.

Asbury Park Vibes is beyond excited to celebrate the arrival of a living legend to our shores: George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, along with the iconic Living Colour, are set to ignite The Stone Pony stage on Sunday, June 29th at 5 p.m. as part of the Prudential North to Shore Festival

This isn’t just another show—it’s a musical homecoming for the ages. George Clinton, the godfather of funk and one of the most influential artists of our time, is bringing his genre-bending, mind-expanding Parliament Funkadelic collective to one of New Jersey’s most beloved venues. With a career spanning five decades, Clinton has shaped the sounds of R&B, rock, hip-hop, and beyond—and now he’s returning to light up a city that understands and reveres real music.

From his Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction to more than 40 chart-topping R&B hits, Clinton’s legacy is unmatched. A P-Funk concert is more than a performance—it’s a psychedelic journey filled with hypnotic grooves, wild visuals, outrageous costumes, and the kind of energy that pulses through your entire being. Add the groundbreaking force of Living Colour, and you’ve got a night that bridges generations of sound, soul, and artistic rebellion.

For us in Asbury, this kind of show hits differently. The Stone Pony isn’t just a venue—it’s where artists become legends, and where fans find something real. The North To Shore Festival continues to prove that New Jersey’s music scene is as vital and electric as ever—and this event is one that anyone who loves music simply can’t miss.
