Bond Street Throws a Killer Block Party!
On a sunlit Saturday in Asbury Park, the stretch of Bond Street around Bond Street Bar vibrated with pounding riffs, psych haze, and a community electric with live music. The Bond Street Block Party isn’t just another outdoor gig—it’s a homegrown celebration of local spirit, sonic boldness, and the raw energy of bands thriving just outside the mainstream radar. This year’s edition, featuring a great variety of talented musicians delivered a heady brew of punky edge and psychedelic groovy ambition.
Local band Sunshine Spazz invited me to come out and check out the scene and I got to catch from Ista and on. Sunshine Spazz put on an electric performance also revealing some of their new material and the concept for their new album coming out! Be on the look out for that! Huge thanks to all the band, staff, bartenders, stagehands, and everyone working hard to make sure we had an amazing day of music in our city by the sea.

APV’s Doug Dresher was also on hand to catch some of the earlier bands.
