Pool Kids Bring Easier Said Than Done Tour to Asbury Park!
Pool Kids have established themselves as a genuinely exciting force in the indie-rock scene these past few years and just recently released their new record Easier Said Than Done which may very well be their strongest record to date! In honor of their release, the band embarked on the Easier Said Than Done Tour which made a stop at Asbury Park’s own House of Independents.
As a band, Pool Kids bring an inclusive and vibrant energy which allows for a consistently engaging set. Their performance was a strong showcase for the new record with tracks “Tinted Windows”, “Sorry Not Sorry” and “Which is Worse?” all resonating live, and thankfully some of their older material made the cut as well. Lead vocalist Christine Goodwyne delivered a captivating performance and the band’s on stage chemistry was purely electric. Credit also to their on stage interactions which allowed the set to truly feel intimate, establishing an organic connection with their dedicated fanbase. While most of the set highlighted their latest record, Pool Kids managed to work in some of their fan favorites such as “That’s Physics, Baby”, “Swallow”, “Arm’s Length” and “I Hope You’re Right” from their self titled record, all of which were exciting to hear live!
When a band is early in their career, building a strong following is a key aspect of maintaining success. Thankfully for Pool Kids, they’re off to a strong start in that department and their Easier Said Than Done Tour is a satisfying showcase of their dynamic talent!
