Sessanta 2.0 Delivers a Vibrant Musical Showcase for 3 Legendary Acts

Musical acts A Perfect Circle, Puscifer and Primus banded together for the ambitious Sessanta tour which also doubled as a 60th birthday celebration for Maynard James Keenan who not only performs in A Perfect Circle and Puscifer but is the frontman for Tool as well. The tour follows a unique format in which each of the bands rotate sets and showcase each of their respective styles in mini-sets throughout. The open-ended nature of the show gives audiences a well-rounded taste of all three act’s distinct styles with A Perfect Circle showcasing their haunting psychedelic tones and Puscifer bringing in more of an edgier and grungier sound while Primus brought their usually playful and vibrant brand of prog rock to the proceedings. While Maynard’s presence factored into the show greatly, the night itself was thankfully more of a showcase of pure musicianship and the vibe was generally high-spirited overall. While most of the bands performed individually throughout the night, all three banded together for an epic finale in which all of their respective musicians shared the stage together.
