The Break Plans’ 4 New Letters Tour

On Friday, July 25th, The Break Plans brought their 4 New Letters Tour to Milkboy in Philadelphia and it was a night to remember. I’ve been catching them every chance I get since their EP release last November, and this Philly stop was easily one of their best.

The evening kicked off with Council, who immediately captured the crowd with their powerful sound and stage presence. They set the tone perfectly for the night and I’m already looking forward to seeing them again.

The Break Plans, made up of Colton Braun, Mikey Strawz, and Dan Carr, delivered a tight, high energy set filled with pop-infused indie rock, blending catchy hooks with genuine charm. Between songs and sometimes even during them, they joked with the crowd, making the whole show feel personal and fun. The audience was all in, laughing, dancing, and singing along. Their setlist featured fan favorites like “Fashionably Late,” “Better Off,” and “Not What I Want,” along with a cover of Lit’s “My Own Worst Enemy.” Slower tracks were perfectly placed throughout the set to give the show a dynamic, well paced flow. After the show, the band stuck around to hang out with fans, taking time to make sure everyone had a memorable night.

The Break Plans continue their tour with stops in Richmond, VA on July 29, Charlotte, NC on July 30, and wrap it up on August 2 at Musikfest in Bethlehem, PA. Catch them if you can.
