The Wheeland Brothers Bring Their West Coast “Song to the Sun” Vibe to Asbury Park’s Wonder Bar
The Wheeland Brothers
On a hot July night at the Jersey Shore, the Wonder Bar threw open its doors and let the ocean breeze carry in something special: a full-blown California beach party led by none other than the Wheeland Brothers – Nate and Travis and their band.
Kicking off the East Coast leg of their summer tour in support of their newest album, Pacific Vibration, the brothers wasted no time. They skipped the warm-up and launched straight into high-energy, surf-laced reggae-rock grooves that instantly turned the crowd electric. This wasn’t a show you stood back and watched—it was one you became a part of. Within minutes, the band was off the stage and into the audience, dancing, singing, and making everyone feel like part of the family.
From early favorites off Muchos Mahalos and Toast to the Coast, to deeper cuts from Lost in the Key of Sea, the set flowed like a perfect wave. But the Pacific Vibration material—fresh, upbeat, and full of heart—brought the biggest energy of the night.
The vibe? Somewhere between a Sublime backyard jam and a Jack Johnson sunset session—while eating a double-double from In-N-Out. Whether you were a longtime fan or just wandered in off Ocean Ave, you were swept up in something joyful and real.
This was my favorite night of music in 2025, hands down. The only thing missing? A call from Sea.Hear.Now. Someone get word to Danny Clinch—The Wheeland Brothers belong on that festival stage ASAP.
