Happy Mondays Returns April 6 with Jeff Crespi’s Annual Birthday Show

There are some nights in Asbury Park that feel like tradition. Jeff Crespi’s Happy Mondays Birthday Show is one of them.

The 2026 season of Happy Mondays at the Wonder Bar kicks off on April 6 with Crespi once again bringing the community together for a lineup that reflects the spirit of the scene. This year’s bill features Songbird, The Bellas, and International Superstar Robin.

For the past 11 years, Crespi has made his birthday part of Happy Mondays, turning it into an annual gathering of musicians, friends, and familiar faces. The very first of these celebrations dates back 12 years to The Saint, long before the event became a staple at the Wonder Bar.

A constant presence in the crowd, Crespi is widely recognized as one of Asbury Park’s most dedicated live music photographers, capturing the moments that have defined the scene - 360 shows a year for the past 20 years!!

Happy Mondays itself has become a cornerstone of Asbury Park’s music culture—a free weekly series that gives both emerging and established independent artists a place to be heard. Held every Monday at the Wonder Bar, it’s known for its open, community-driven atmosphere, where fans, musicians, and industry regulars all end up in the same room. The venue is 21+ and there’s no cover for the weekly event.
