Not Leaving Sober to Honor Late Bassist Jerry Leach with Celebration Show at The Stone Pony

Not Leaving Sober

What was once just another night of live music at The Stone Pony has taken on a much deeper meaning.

On April 4, Not Leaving Sober will take the stage to honor their late bassist, Jerry Leach, who passed away tragically in recent weeks. The show, originally titled Welcome to Hell, has been renamed Stoned at the Pony—a tribute rooted in a joke Jerry himself made just days before his passing.

Rather than a somber memorial, the band is leaning into what they say Jerry would have wanted: a loud, high-energy night surrounded by friends, music, and community. In their announcement, they described the event as a true celebration of a person who “gave everything to everyone he knew.”

The night will feature Not Leaving Sober alongside special guests Anthony², Lauren Davidson (trio), and DJ Big Country, turning the evening into both a tribute and a full showcase of the local scene Jerry was part of.

Set against the backdrop of one of New Jersey’s most iconic venues, Stoned at the Pony is shaping up to be less about mourning and more about remembering—through music, shared moments, and the kind of atmosphere Jerry helped create.

Tickets on sale now. Doors open at 7:00 PM, with music running from 7:30 to 11:30 PM.
