Music on Every Porch: Asbury Park Porchfest Brings the Community Together

Asbury Park turned into a front-porch concert hall—blocks of neighbors, families, and music fans strolling or rolling from set to set. True to its mission, the festival is proudly walkable and bike-friendly; you could hear a groove in the distance, hop on your bike, and be there in minutes.

Throughout the day, the 140+ musical acts showcased the city’s range and depth—soul and rock, indie and Americana, rock, singer-songwriters and bands with beachy energy—living up to its status as the Northeast’s largest PorchFest. Artists popped up on stoops, lawns, and local spots, with an opening set by Des & The Swagmatics at the Transparent Clinch Gallery kicking off the event before the music spilled across town.

The crowds brought the vibe: friends walking dogs, parents pushing strollers, cyclists leaning bikes against fences, and clusters of listeners settling into camping chairs and picnic blankets to cheer on each set. It felt neighborly and effortless—the kind of day where you discover your new favorite act a few doors down.

Best of all, Porchfest keeps the spirit of giving at its core: it’s free to attend, with donations welcomed at porches to support local causes—art powering community, one song at a time.

Enjoy our team photos of this very special day, and be on the lookout for next year’s return of this can’t-miss community tradition!!
