Asbury Underground Unites Music, Community and Business as part of North To Shore

Big Boss Noff at Blackbird Presents

Asbury Underground has always been one of those events that captures what makes Asbury Park’s music scene so special. In conjunction with the North to Shore Festival, the annual celebration once again filled the city’s downtown business district with local music, robust commerce, and the kind of community energy that makes Asbury Park feel alive.

Throughout the day, musicians performed in shops and spaces throughout the area, giving visitors the chance to move from one set to the next while discovering both the artists and the businesses that help shape the Asbury Park experience. It’s part music crawl, part community gathering, and part reminder of just how much supporting independent musicians matters.

For APV, Asbury Underground still remains one of our favorite events every year to cover. Photographers Bill Baumann, John Matlosz, and Diane DiMemo were there to capture the day, documenting the performances, the crowd, and the moments that made this year’s Asbury Underground such a meaningful celebration.
